Our feature today is with Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim who is all the buzz among fans across Africa and in Nollywood.

Ikpe-Etim has been quite busy with upcoming films. But, she took time to answer “Ladybrille’s 15 Questions With. . .”

For new readers, last year we profiled Ikpe-Etim as one of the top 25 names to know in Nollywood (2nd largest film producing country in the world). Below is what we had to say about her:

“Nse Ikpe-Etim is a “Jane” of all trades master of many. An assertive personality on and off screen who has no qualms letting it be known what she wants, Etim has worked in the finance, fashion and media industries before venturing onto the big screen. She attended high school at the Federal Government College in Illorin and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts from the University of Calabar. Her big break came in her roles in the films ‘Reloaded’ and ‘Guilty Pleasures’ where she held her own against some of Nollywood’s top actors and actresses. She stood out and was nominated for ‘Best Actress’ at the 2009 AMAA Awards. In September of this year, she emerged winner of the ‘Best Actress of the Year’ at the (2010) Nigeria Entertainment Awards.”

LADYBRILLEmag.com: Describe your current career. What exactly do you do?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
I am an actor. An ardent student of Stanislavski who believes in role interpretation, a method actor.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: You certainly interpret roles quite well and we all know you are a fantastic actress. But word has it you also love cooking and writing and are quite good are both. What do you think makes you so attracted to these two fields in addition to being an actress?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
They are all artistic. Cooking is an art, writing is an art and they are all forms of expression of self.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: What is the level of success you envision for yourself in these fields?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
I cannot put a limit to where I intend to find myself but I aim to be the best that I can be.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: How do you define success?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
Success to me is achieving one’s dreams, investing my time in what I believe in and finally inspiring others to do the same.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: Share with us your memory of the happiest moment in your life?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
I always say that the day is yet to come but everyday I wake up is a potential happy day.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: Have you ever experienced true love? What did that feel like?
Nse Ikpe-Etim
: I have loved but I do not know the difference between true love and untrue love. .  . Love is love.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: What keeps you awake at night?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:

Nse Ikpe-Etim:
The desire to better myself, be better than I was yesterday and affect people positively.

Nse Ikpe-Etim:
My inspiration comes from God. I see what I want to see. .  . the good in everything. Humanity. .  .

LADYBRILLEmag.com: What are the daily principles you live by?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
Dedication, discipline, hardwork.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: When all is said and done, what is the legacy you want to leave behind, especially in the film industry?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
To have contributed immensely to the growth of the industry and become a model of excellence to the youths.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: Tell us your favorite beach resort?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
I don’t have a favorite. I love sand and water.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: When was the last time you were a total goof ball and just laughed at yourself?
Nse Ikpe-Etim:
That happens when I am with my close friends. .  .I clown bit. . . and just laugh. . .

In Abuja (capital of Nigeria), Aqua . . .
