“Welkom born Ella Bute moved to Johannesburg in her twenties, she won the Elle/LISOF bursary in 1999 and then continued to study at LISOF for the next 3 years. She participated in the Elle New Talent competition in 2005 and won the Nederburg Rare Talent in 2005. Her clothes are all about comfort, good quality and are made from natural fabrics. She reaches out to assist the average woman get through a normal day with the most ease and comfort possible, yet still look ravishing!
Ella’s muse for Summer 2012 is a fantastical domestic goddess. She is focusing mainly on the design detail of the scallop and is using a passionate, fiery color palette of reds, maroon, cherry and then contrasting it dramatically with a bright green/turquoise.
This year, she wants to put all her energy into her shop, she doesn’t plan on expanding the business but rather bettering her designs and clothing quality.”
