“Gina and Caren Waldman began their career in fashion design together in 2003, where they started making underwear out of their parents home. Their experience in design however, had already been cultivated. Caren studied at the Parson’s School of Design in New York whilst Gina got her Mater’s Degree in Fine Arts at WITS University. In 2005 their business expanded and they moved to offices in Doornfontein, Johannesburg until 2011 when they moved to Parkhurst and opened their first flagship store. ‘Our philosophy is comfort, perfect fit, soft quality fabrics, simplicity and classic basics with on-trend detailing.’ Says Gina. The sisters have also been exposed to many fashion awards, including winning the Marie Claire de la Mode Business Savvy Fashion Label of the Year.

This season their focus is to evolve their sophistication, moving into new fabrics such as chiffons and satins, as well as keeping to their wardrobe staples. Their color range stays neutral and versatile yet still exciting by adding some neon yellow to the mix and creating unique leather belts too.”
