Swahili Fashion Week 2011: Brenda Nambi (Pictures)

“B’ambi which is short for Brenda Nambi is owned by a dynamic young fashion designer from Kampala, Uganda of the same name.

Brenda has been a fashion designer since 2004 but only started her commercial fashion brand called B’ambi Fashion House in 2009. Her previous works consisted mainly of stage costumes for performing artists and custom made designs for celebrities.

In line her with the global fashion trends, B’ambi’s latest collection The Wild Prints Collection has created a modern yet “wild” fashion theme that uses African fabrics and “prints”. This elegant, stylish and funky collection is targeted towards hard working, independent women who have achieved their respect without losing their femininity and the fashion and style in them.

Brenda Nambi is also a well known musician in Uganda and one half of the ‘HB Toxic’ singing duo.”
