Patricia Mbela of House of Agano to Show at New York’s Africa House

Patrica Mbela was one of Ladybrille’s 2008 Top 20 Africans. She shows her designs on January 17th, 2009 at the Africa House. Mbela runs one of the top design houses in Kenya called House of Agano. She received her degree in fashion design in England yet returned to Kenya to build her fashion Empire. Today, in Kenya, she is recognized as one of the key names in its design industry.

Some of Mbela’s accomplishments include being one of of nine Kenyan designers out of 1,500 entries to design The Kenyan National Dress.
