Ladybrille Music: K-Pop’s #JYJ ft. Kanye West ‘Ayyy Girl’ (VIDEO)

If you have never heard of JYJ, get familiar. They are one of the largest music groups, if not the largest, out of Asia. “JYJ (previously known as Junsu/Jejung/Yuchun) is a three member boyband, formed by three members of South Korean boyband TVXQ: Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun. Their debut Japanese language EP The… reached No. 1 on the Japanese Oricon albums chart. The band’s global debut album, The Beginning, was released in October, 2010.”

‘Ayyy Girl’ is a song they did with Kanye West (‘Ye) off their global album. Some issues I totally have with the song and video. First, I don’t understand why ‘Ye dominates in the intro. He goes on for one minute when the song clearly says JYJ featuring Kanye. Like are you serious? Second, we’ve seen more creative lines from Kanye. What is this? Third, JYJ is clearly a HUGE name all over Asia but who styled them?? Their stylist should be fired. How are they supposed to cross into the US market and dominate on a national level dressed the way they are? Is this a joke? Finally, again on the autotune, it is just becoming a little too much.

Anyway, check out the video and get familiar with the name JYJ coming to a city near you, soon.
