CEO EbonyLife TV , Mo’ Abudu, Speaks at the 2014 MIPCOM Women in Global Entertainment in France

MIPCOM 2014 - EVENT - WOMEN IN GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT POWER LUNCH - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LIFETIME - MO ABUDU / EBONYLIFE TVThe Executive Chairman and CEO of EbonyLife TV, Mo Abudu was a speaker at the 2014 MIPCOM’s Women In Global Entertainment Power Lunch which held at Salon CROISETTE in the MAJESTIC HOTEL, Cannes, France, on Monday, 13 October, 2014.

“This is the age of women empowerment and advancement in the media as well as in every other viable sector of the African and global economy,” she said at the event. “Women must rise and take their place as equal partners.”
Earlier on in the day, Mo, who was recently honoured with a Doctorate degree at Babcock University, spoke at

MIPCOM 2014’s Global Channel Distribution Day at Auditorium Esterel, Palais des Festivals, on the topic, ‘Driving the Quest for the Audience: Channel distribution Strategies for Success’.

The highly celebrated media executive was also a key speaker at the Global Hotspots in Nigeria, organized at the 2014 MIPCOM by the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation, which was titled, “Expanding Horizons in Nigeria: The Nollywood Case Study”.

MIPCOM dedicates a special focus to Nigeria offering a unique opportunity to producers and distributors to cement new partnerships in the region. Other speakers were Eyengho Alex, President of the Association of Nollywood Core Producer; Mba Emeka, Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission and Omole Sola, who is Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority.
