Is there a thin line between Africa and the USA? Does Africa have as much style as the USA in fashion, pop culture, entertainment? Tyra Bank’s America’s Next Top Model Winner Cycle 12 winner Teyona Anderson seems to think so. Teyona just arrived in South Africa to walk in the Arise Capetown Fashion Week shows.
“In the States we don’t see this part of Africa,” said Anderson to South Africa’s The Times in an interview about her arrival, for the first time, in South Africa.
“We see African garments from Nigeria on TV. So my friends think there are little kids running around with big bellies and giraffes in the street, but you’ve got style just like we do back home.”
On her comments about Nigeria, what does she mean? Hmmm . . . it is clear Ms. Anderson has not been reading Ladybrille Magazine.
