You are invited to the 4th annual Runway Moms for a Cause (RMFC) fundraiser/celebration planned to take place on May 13, 2016 . The 2016 participating nonprofit is Childbirth Survival International(CSI) – CSI is a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) non-profit humanitarian organization that works to improve and strengthen quality, access, and delivery of health services and information for pregnant women, newborns, children, and adolescents/youth in marginalized communities.
There will be a silent auction for mission-related items as well as raffle drawings of donated items from participating vendors and sponsors. The event highlight is the “Power Mom” runway show that includes live performances from local talents. Participants of the runway show will be dressed in custom L~Shandi designs, in collaboration with D’Milikah Designs. The Runway Show will be produced by Joy Kingsley-Ibeh of Love Joy Image.
For the first time, following the fashion show, the evening will end with an ultimate moms’ night out experience in celebration of Mother’s day festivities, co-hosted by me and Christine St.Vil of Moms ‘N Charge®. Some of the participating moms, that will walk the runway include: Allison Seymour, News Anchor, WTTG-Fox 5; Demetress Valentine, Celebrity hair and make-up artist; Mekeda Haniyyah, Owner, Kakewalk Cupcakes and Sarah Jaffe, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, to name a few. The event is hosted by Paul Wharton, TV personality, journalist, producer, beauty and lifestyle expert and pop culture enthusiast and host of his own show on the CW network.
