A message from Bake for Change:
“Dear Friends and Supporters,
Children’s Day is around the corner and Bake for Change and AIPA are launching a new project under the Educate the State Initiative.
The initiative will also give away scholarships for especially gifted children within the homes, in a bid to give them a quality education. Education is the key to keeping these children off the streets once they leave the homes.
The scholarships will be given under the theme “Education for All” and will be divided into two categories:
1) Educational Scholarships: This scholarship sponsors the secondary school education (JSS I – SS3) of the child it has been awarded to.
2) Vocational Scholarships: This scholarship sponsors a student with equipment to set up his/her business, as well as additional entrepreneurial training, based on the vocation learned in the home, as well as having passed the Lagos State Trade test.
We have attached further details for your perusal.
We hereby also invite you to celebrate Children’s Day in a special way this year…join us at the annual Educate the State Event where we invite various Lagos State homes to compete against each other in a spelling bee and a reading competition.
Join us and cheer the children along, they need all the support they can get as they set out on their path for greatness….
