MOTIFS SAMPLE SALE at the Africa Centre premieres with designs by the cream of Black British fashion talent.
For the first time in the UK unique pieces of clothing created by up-and-coming fashion designers of African-descent will be available to purchase at a sample sale held at the historic Africa Centre in the heart of Covent Garden on Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 June 2009.
Motifs Sample Sale brings together under one roof a wealth of brand names including award-winning designer Nkwo, critically-acclaimed ethical label Lalesso, urban-chic Simone Williams, vintage independent label Ooops Fashion, Paris-based designer-to-the-stars duo BezemyMailan, afro-hippie YouMeWe and many more. The event aims to make their creations known to a wider public of savvy shoppers and accessible to all budgets.
The sale caters mostly for women, although menswear will also be represented. All items – from ready-to-wear to couture – will be up for grabs at discounted prices.
“MOTIFS is giving discerning fashionistas the opportunity to buy unique designer pieces at very enticing prices” explain the organisers.
