Today is THE biggest day in the National Football League (NFL), THE SUPERBOWL! For us at Ladybrille, we celebrate the Superbowl by unveiling the cover for our MAN OF THE MONTH for February 2011, our Valentine Edition. Gracing our cover is the inspiring and brilliant NFL Houston Texans Defensive Lineman Amobi Okoye. Okoye began high school at twelve years old and by fifteen graduated from Lee High School in Huntsville, Alabama. His intelligence earned him a scholarship offer to Harvard University which he turned down opting instead for a football scholarship to the University of Louisville.
After three and half years of study, Okoye graduated with a degree in psychology and became the youngest player to ever be drafted into the NFL at nineteen. Okoye has a tremendous love and passion for his community and youths and has given so much of his time and energy towards improving both his local and international community. We are excited and proud to celebrate this brilliant (Ladybrille) Man of the Month for one month; and look forward to sharing his feature with you this coming week!
