To further empower the African music fan, Museke has decided to introduce the Voter’s Choice Award, a category which is dedicated to acknowledging the work of lesser known artists that are discovered during the MOAMAs nomination and subsequent voting period. Diseko goes on to say, “Museke.com was started by and continues to be run by fans of African music who are dedicated to discovering new and emerging genres as well as rediscovering older genres. We are proud that the work we do at Museke has inspired so many fans to look beyond their own borders and traditional tastes, and the introduction of the Voter’s Choice Award is an acknowledgement of the African music fan.”
