Social media has had a huge influence on Nigeria’s fashion and entertainment industries and two web entrepreneurs Loy Okezie and Francis Oghuma want to make sure the accomplishments and contributions of those behind the movement are celebrated.
The duo present the first ever Sowambe Social Media Awards. Sowambe Awards according to the producers will “recognize and celebrate the best social media adopters, talents, celebs, brands, professionals as well as social web platforms in Nigeria.”
The Awards has about 25 categories and will allow participants to nominate and vote online for a period of one month for their favorites, based on a clear understanding and good judgment on activities in the social web.
