Watch Nollywood Movies for Free on NollywoodLove Youtube Channel Courtesy Iroko-YouTube Partnership!

We were pleased to receive an email from IROKO Partners, owners of NollywoodLove.com, about their partnership with Youtube so Nollywood fans can watch over 400 Nollywood films for FREE! This is exactly what we have been waiting for, the digital distribution of Nollywood films so you our readers get to enjoy African arts and culture in an even more intimate way. Check out Jason Chukwuma Njoku’s story, founder of Iroko Partners. When you are done, head on to Nollywood Love’s channel to watch your free Nollywood movies. Nigeria’s actresses and actors also have their own special channels on the NollywoodLove.com page so be sure to check it out.

“Jason Chukwuma Njoku read Chemistry at the University Of Manchester (United Kingdom), having dabbled in a number of online media and entertainment ventures he started out alone in August 2009 from a small shared studio in Clapham South, West London, with a simple idea for a safe retail store for people to buy African movies online. Overwhelmed with the time required and scale of the task ahead he moved to a live / work space in East London where he began researching the dynamics of Nollywood and the challenges in Nigerian movie distribution.

Over a 9 month (period), Jason bought and watched over 2,000 Nollywood (English and Yoruba) movies to fully immerse himself in Nollywood. After several trips in 2010 to Lagos, Nigeria and positive discussions in Nollywood film markets: Alaba International Market and Idumota with 100+ Nollywood stakeholders (Actors, Producers, Marketers and Authorities) Iroko Partners was born to create a legal distribution infrastructure for Nollywood content internationally.

The company has since grown into a small dedicated team of 25 based in Lagos and London who are passionate about financially supporting African culture. (They) provide distribution, rights management and marketing services to Africa’s many regional movie industries. (They) are rapidly partnering with all the major players in film.”

This is great news!
