Here at Ladybrille, we love and celebrate the unapologetically brilliant woman, regardless of race or socio-economic background. One such woman is Nigeria’s Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, an Attorney, Filmmaker and Founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

Ladybrille has featured Anyiam-Osigwe’s events for many years now so be sure to revisit some of our prior coverage here to become familiar with her event.

CNN’s African Voices profiles this brilliant (Ladybrille) woman and in her interview, Anyiam-Osigwe discusses the challenging road towards building an event that is now dubbed “The African Oscars,” her love for film making and her upbringing.

Enjoy and share your thoughts.
