Chukwuka T. Ejorh, 22
A film and video editor working in production since 2006, he finished editing Big Brother Africa 3 in November 2008, in December 2008; edited Pantomine, an M-Net SA annual stage production and edited inserts for Face of Africa 2008. He edited Comedy Club – Live in Lagos in January 2009 and Wildtouch, a wildlife documentary show both in SA. He also edited Stand Up Uganda, and co-edited Idols SA and Stand Up Uganda, Idols SA and I wanna be (M-Net SA’s big-budget HD reality production). He also edited Naija Sings and is now co-editing Face of Africa 2009.
Yinka Obebe, 29
Director/Post Production supervisor/Content producer, working in production since 2004, in 2009 he continued working with Virtual Media Network (owners and producers of Nigezie) developing programme content. He is responsible for all content that appears on the station Nigezie, which shows on a number of TV stations across the country and on HiTV. He also worked with Television Entertainment Network (TEN), and on Round Off ’09 for Virtual Media.
Gbenga Salu, 28
Director/Editor working in production since 2007, Salu spent 2009 working with Touchstone Brand and communication, Daystar Christian Centre, LC (Music artist), Mo Hits Allstars, Manie X, Lara George, Kenny St Brown, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Intercontinental Bank Plc and Felabration. He is also the Creative Director/CEO of Renders and Illusion and won the Soundcity Music Video Awards for Best special effect/editing as well as the Nigeria Music Video Awards for 2009 Most promising director.
Kenneth Gyang, 23
This writer/producer/director started working in production in 2006 as a T.V. writer for Common Grounds Production – an International NGO. In 2009 Gyang worked on a film industry documentary with COMMUNICATING FOR CHANGE (CFC), and with CONSOLIDATED MEDIA ASSOCIATES (TELEVISTA), LAGOS on the project- “FINDING AISHA,” a T.V. series set in the North and headlining for Sunday primetime TV on the AIT. Other jobs include a film – “PROMISE” for John Hopkins University, U.S.A. He has worked with the BBC World Service Trust.
Adetola Odunsi, 30
Odunsi has worked as a director of talents and productions since 2004 when he joined storm 360. Widely known under the moniker Bobby Boulders, he has directed productions such as Naija Sings and music videos for r GT (hustle), Pype (champion), Naeto C (ringtone, ako mi ti poju), Sasha (put it down, making money), Alaye (eyes don’t lie), Timi Dakolo (I love you), Ara (dun mi nu), Maino (baby don’t cry), and Keri Hilson featuring Naeto C. He is currently working on a storm360 music project with Keri Hilson and Timi Dakolo.
Clarence Peters, 27
The producer and CEO of Capital Music has been working in the industry for over a decade – as editor, director and concept creator. In 2009, he worked successfully with MI, 9ice, Tha Suspect, Kel, P-Square, Malta Guiness, Unity Bank, Solid Star, Lord of Ajasa, Omawumi, Terry G, Rooftop MC’s, Rotimi Oshodi, Jeniffer, Vio Belle, Biodun Adefala, Ikenna Okogun, Ayodele Banjo e.t.c.
Oluwakemi Modupela Adetiba, 29
A Media Personality/Director & Producer who has worked in the media for a decade, in 2009, worked on the Polo Ralph Lauren time-piece campaign advert production assistant as well as the music video for the theme song of the Hip Hop World Awards music video “How Much Do You Want It”. She also worked on a documentary for the Nigerian Society of Engineers “NSE: Past, Present and the Future”, the show production for television of the R.Kelly Nigerian tour (Lagos & Abuja), the Lil’ bugz music video (NYC) as assistant director, music videos for Omawunmi and Banky W and is currently working on her feature film “Across A Bloodied Rainbow”. Her music video Ekundayo won for Best Female Video at the 2009 Soundcity Music Awards.
Imoh Umoren, 27
This TV producer started working in production in 2005 and, in 2009, worked for Pandemonium Projects and STB Maccan. He has been assistant producer, contestant producer and director on Don’t Forget the Lyrics Project Fame (Ultima Ltd) for over 70 episodes of the show. He is currently developing a new TV show for the Discovery Channel called Africa Myths and Legends. His film, Lemon Green, has been shortlisted in a festival in South Africa.
