#Rio2016 — Simone Biles wins second gold medal: “I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps, I’m the first Simone Biles”

GYMNASTICS-OLY-2016-RIO-PODIUMCongratulations to 19-year-old Texan Simone Biles, considered the world’s greatest gymnast, who led team USA to victory by winning the women’s individual all-around gold medal at the Rio Olympic games.

Her win makes it her second gold medal for team USA so far.

“I’m very excited and relieved because I’ve finally done it. You never know that feeling until it hits you,” said Biles to the press about her victory.”It’s amazing to be recognized for all of this success, (but) I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps, I’m the first Simone Biles.”

“I’m just the same Simone. I just have two Olympic gold medals now. I feel like I did my job tonight.”

We look forward to more victories as she continues into next week’s round of competitions!
