Dr. Ola Orekunrin “The Flying Doctor,” Ladybrille Woman of the Month December 2012, shares inspiring insights in the Dare2Dream (D2D) special series of masterclasses.
Dr. Orekurin shares her childhood growing up in a foster home, emphasizing that “your background does not determine your destiny.”
She also talked to the D2D participants about the importance of starting with a dream and passion regardless of the funds available, encouraging them to learn from failure and not to give up after failing. “Failure is not a person, it is an event. You learn everything from failure more than you learn from success,” said the brilliant doctor.
She wrapped her discussion with insights on entrepreneurship, “entrepreneurship is being resourceful. It is the ability of believing despite of the lack of resources,” said the doctor. “The people that generate wealth are people that are to make multiples of themselves.”
