Nollywooduncut.com Bola Aduwo Nominated Script Writer for City People Awards 2011

LadybrilleNigeria.com salutes Bola Aduwo of nollywooduncut.com who has just been  nominated as Script writer of the Year at the 2011 City People Entertainment Awards.

“Bola Aduwo is a writer, publicist and trained broadcaster who has worked as a producer in the Nation’s foremost radio station Radio Nigeria (Kapital FM Abuja) for a number of years. She discovered she had the flair to write and teamed up with her friend and former classmate Emem Isong and in the early years the duo co-wrote ‘A Minute to Midnite'(1997) and ‘Hit & Run'(1998) and ‘For Real’ to name a few.

The decision to take a job as a broadcaster in Abuja from 1999-2004 took her out of Lagos & Nollywood and into the broadcasting world, but her heart remained in the industry. In 2005 Bola took the bold step to resign and move back to Lagos and delve back into Nollywood which by then was moving in leaps and bounds. In that time she wrote ‘Yahoo Millionaire’, ‘Nollywood Hustlers’, co-wrote Reloaded, Guilty Pleasures, Bursting Out,’Catwalq’, ‘I’ll Take My Chances’ etc. In addition to being an ace scriptwriter, in 2009 she started the website, Nollywooduncut.com with friend and former classmate Dele Onabowu and together, the two have built the site to be one of the foremost entertainment websites about Nollywood online. Along with that, Bola is publicist to a number of high profile Nollywood stars and intends to continue furthering in that field. She however still has a soft spot for writing and says; ‘its an honour to be nominated among the nation’s best for doing what I love and I don’t take it lightly’.
