Nollywood Actress Uche Jombo Fights Back Against Body Shamers

There is a lot of self loathing in the world and unfortunately, social media has given millions the power to project their self loathe/hatred on others. Take for example the recent case of Nollywood actress and filmmaker Uche Jombo. The actress shared promo photos of herself on social media from a latest movie she stars in called ‘Wives on Strike.’ What followed was a barrage of insults with many mocking her weight. Jombo chose to respond affirming her body and self worth.

”This is the ?BODY #iloveIt#dealwithit now let’s us all go and worry about important things like ..when is this fuel situation over?. .when can our energy / power improve? etc trust me there are so many things that you should worry about..my BODY is not one of them.in fact let’s all worry about#WivesOnStrike making investment back by heading to a cinema near you this Friday and tagging a friend to tell a friend about @wivesonstrike.”

We agree with Jombo. There is great beauty in being perfectly imperfect. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise and don’t let others project their self loathe/hatred on you. For those who hate self so much, it is a miserable place to be in and existence. We hope you find the courage to find true love for self.
