Nigeria Launches 1st Solely Modern Arts University in Nigeria, December 21st, 2011

On Wednesday (tomorrow), the 21st of December 2011, Art Lovers and beyond will congregate at the Civic Center in V.I Lagos as part of the activities leading to the July 2012 Launch of the 1st solely Modern Arts University in Nigeria – The Modern Day School of Arts.

The Modern Day School of the Arts (MDSA) – is a training institution that is set on advancing literacy in the community, promoting quality education and encouraging the creative performance of individuals. The goal is to grow into becoming Nigeria’s foremost institution for education of the arts.

Just recently approved by the Ministry of Education, the School is presenting its first event – For The Love of Arts (FTLOA), to the community. FTLOA is a one-day event that will feature some of the best in Nigerian Arts while creating awareness and promoting the Arts industry in Nigeria. The event will also position aspiring artists for careers in arts and design, and share with its audience the curriculum which includes but not limited to Fashion Design, Media, Interior Design/Architecture, Advertising/Graphic & Web Design, Film, Photography and music to name a few.

The day starts at 10AM to 4PM with a FREE Entry Exhibition by one of kind artists such as Mode Adenirokun, Agahome, Karo Akpokiere, Jude Anogwih, Wale Ariztos, TY Bello, Victor Ehikhamenor, GREY, Kimono Kollections to name a few.

It then rolls into the evening from 6PM, where you are invited for an Entertainment Night that will leave you wanting more. The evening will be filled with exciting performances and surprise appearances by our very talented and Modern Day Artists.
