Music: ‘Money Dey Come, Money Dey Go’ by GP Splash ft. Tizze (Audio)

“Born with name Krekpe Ogaga Godspower on October 14, 1988, Gp Splash was born in Warri, Delta State but he grew up in Lagos under the care of his elder brothers and sisters because both parents passed away when he was only 3 years old and he was the youngest child.

As a teen he had started performing for his friends and family but never considered pursuing a career in music until he was highly inspired by one of his elder brothers. In 2005, he reluctantly competed in a talent show which he didn’t win but he was spotted by a producer. Two years later, he got glued to a group of four Gospel singers to make them five and they recorded about ten songs together but GP Splash short-lived the group as they had to split due to some issues so he ventured out alone going solo and setting his mind on his career.

While still working on his album, Splash has released some singles such as Fake Love, Be Mine, Lets Runaway, Tori Ife, Money comes and Goes and Dat One Sef Dey which which was the first single he dropped and the song also has a very tight video.

Gp Splash has held onto the best parts of what he offered previously, while continuously creating original and ground-breaking, yet good music and he has poured his heart and soul into his music showing growth as an artist. Being brought up in an environment that treasures the true artistic value of musicianship, it was Splash’s deep rooted love and passion for music that later on encouraged him to record tracks with different producers doing different kind of music such as crunk , rap, r&b and even high life due to his his versatility.

The story of Gp Splash is the classic saga of taking a dream and making the impossible possible. It is a story of determination, faith, struggle, hard work and inspiration because he’s versatile as he sings pretty well and also raps tight.”
