Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York Spring/Summer 2013: Tracy Reese

Everything about Tracy Reese’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is absolutely delightful. More importantly, it is probably the designer’s best collection to date and showed off such amazing growth and versatility in her design style. Tracy who is usually associated with all things ultra-feminine, kept her signature style but really pushed the envelope from nerdy glasses to Palazzo styled pants, colorful dresses in green, blue, yellow and loads of sexy prints. She introduced all sides of the Tracy Reese woman in an unexpected yet sexy chic way. From tomboy sexy to nerdy, you couldn’t help but fall in love with the Tracy Reese woman this season.

““I played with the juxtaposition of organic and technical, soft and structured and sporty and feminine for an unexpected and refreshing collection,” said Reese in a statement released to the press. “A quilted silk jacket in pert layered over a black burnout gauze shirt and a mentholescence stretch linen trouser, and paired with fringed sandal and clutch, creates an effortless look that is sophisticated yet relaxed.”

It is no wonder she was the first choice to dress First Lady Michelle Obama at the just concluded Democratic National Convention.
