Lami Phillips is very talented and offers a wholesome really fresh approach to Nigeria’s music industry. BUT, it just has to be a crime or a sin (take your pick) the way she makes her fans and the public wait with such really long/extended periods of no music. Phillips seems to sense fans/the public are not happy with the wait because she playfully addresses it in her music video where she takes FOREVER to make her stage appearance at an event she is headlining.
The wait may be Ccte for this video but I am not so sure it will always be cute in future. Enjoy the visuals and the powerfully talented vocals and lyrical abilities of Lami Phillips. Ms. Phillips, can we get more consistency? Could you not make us wait too long? It is just way too long.

“The much anticipated video for Nigeria’s Afro-soul queen Lami Phillips is out. Lami filmed the video in March after a short break which she spent abroad to refresh and focus on her new album.
Produced by S TWO Media, shot by Wong Fae Hong and styled by Tiannahstyling which sees Lami in a series of glam rock looks, the video plays host to actors Femi Jacobs and Jumoke Bello, presenter IK Osakioduwa, as well as artists Waje, Kel, Dammy Krane, Praiz, multi-talented singer and OAPs Tosyn Bucknor and Bola Sonola, DJs Sose and Spinall.
Of these cameos, Lami said, “It’s a fun video. They’re all fun people! I just invited my friends over to have fun at the shoot, and that’s what we did.”
The video shows Lami arriving into the country in a private jet, getting pampered by Blush and Sacred beauty teams and Hair Whisperer before hitting the stage at Don Jazzy’s club Pop. Due for release in the next few weeks, it signals the return of Afro-soul queen who is back in Lagos to work with producers and promote her new album.”
