Ladies, Get Ready to Shop,Tinapa Style

Africa is bustling with so much excitement and the future for fashion businesses has never looked so brilliant! On April 2nd, 2007, the President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo commissioned the Tinapa Project. The $335 million Tinapa Project managed by the governor of Cross River State Donald Duke [Cross River state is located in the South Eastern part of Nigeria], is set to be Africa’s pemier tourism and world class business hub. With a shopping complex that anticipates four wholesale emporiums, sixty retail shops, hotels and an entertainment strip [casinos, restaurants, cinemas and more] Tinapa would be the ideal place to go vacationing, especially for the shopping experience should you visit Nigeria or are located in West Africa, it is just a plane away from other African countries.

By the way Donald Duke and persons involved in the Tinapa project, sixty retail anticipated shops does not equal mostly foreign shops with one or two Nigerian or African retail boutiques sprinkled around. Please no! The sixty shops should have a heavy share of luxurious apparel and interior designs from Africa’s designers. [Our Ladybrille readers] should not when they visit, be stuck with the same options within North America and Europe, mostly American and/or Italian brands.
