Jan Malan, Africa’s Producer Extra-ordinaire, is Ladybrille Man of the Month July 2011

Jan Malan, Producer Extra-ordinare, graces the cover of Ladybrille Magazine as our Man of the Month for our July 2011 Fashion Designer Edition.

Jan Malan has staged shows in 19 countries and on 4 continents packaging and presenting African designers and models in the best possible light. Malan discovered Supermodel Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi in 1998; and has had a significant input in the success of her career to date. Malan is also co-founder of Oluchi’s model agency O Models in addition to his company Umzingeli Productions.

In 1997, Jan Malan conceptualized the popular Face of Africa model competition for Mnet and has been involved extensively in the show. He has also produced fashion shows, four times now, at New York Fashion Week, including the first showing of African designers at New York Fashion Week in 2002 via Afridesia Anglo-Gold Fashion show and the first ever Arise Fashion Show in 2009.
