Habits – Capetown Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011(Pictures)

Started 25 years ago, Habits is an established South African label. After 15 years in the fashion department at Fair Lady magazine, designer Jenny le Roux set out to fill the gap between chain store clothing and designer couture. Her experience in the industry has taught her what women really want from fashion and it is this understanding that guides her design process.

Based in Cape Town, Habits supports the local economy through her fully functional factory in the Cape. Her store in Claremont stocks the brand’s high quality garments and she has transformed her website into an online store. She also hosts a Trunk Show twice a year in Johannesburg to keep in touch with these clients.

Despite winning many awards, le Roux remains humble and firmly believes that a designer in only as good as his or her last collection. The theme for the designer’s latest collection, for Spring/Summer 2011 at Cape Town Fashion Week is “Something old, something new, something borrowed , something blue.”
