ELLE NEW TALENT MAKE-UP ARTIST SEARCH 2010

ELLE and Max Factor are once again looking for new talent in the field of make-up artistry. Max Factor’s legacy of sharing product knowledge and application techniques with beauty aficionados continues. If you are a talented young make-up artist ready to move on to the next level, ELLE and Max Factor can help you be the best you can be!THE PRIZE
1 Become the Max Factor ambassador at all events, road shows and in the media for a full year.
2 A trip to the annual global Max Factor conference valued at approximately R50 000.
3 A full make-up kit from Max Factor valued at approximately R18 000.
4 Assist on ELLE fashion and beauty shoots, receive a credit as well as portfolio pictures.

HOW TO ENTER:

  • Download the ELLE New Talent Make-up Artist face chart HERE >>
  • Design your own make-up look using Max Factor products. Make sure you make reference to which products and techniques you are using as part of your look. Shade in the face chart.
  • Put together an A3 inspiration chart using images from magazines, photographs, colour palettes etc.
  • Demonstrate your look on a friend and take a picture.
  • Write a short biography of yourself and a brief (no more than 20 words) motivation/ inspiration for your look. This document should include a picture of yourself and your full details: name, age, address, daytime contact number, training, and fax or email address.
  • Send yout entry to the ELLE Offices at 37 Bath Ave, Rosebank, 1st Floor for the attention of Zanele Kumalo.
  • Please note that entry packs will not be returned to entrants.
  • The closing date for entries is Friday 29 January 2010 and all finalists will be notified by telephone by 15 February 2010.
  • All finalists must be available for a first round of judging in mid March 2010 and the second round of judging and the final event at the beginning of May 2010. The venues, dates and times will be confirmed at a later date.
  • The winner must be available to represent Max Factor at regional events and available for various editorial shoots for ELLE Magazine.
  • The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be enter into.

CONDITIONS:

  • The winner of the competition must be available to endorse Max Factor exclusively for one year.
  • The winner must be available to participate in Max Factor events, be photographed and used in promotional material.
  • The winner must be available for all press interviews and publicity generated throughout the event.
  • The finalists will be required to travel to the first round judging and final event at their own expense.

EXCLUSIONS:

  • The competition is not open to students.
  • The competition is not open to professional make-up artists who have been working in the industry for more than 7 years.
  • It is a platform for emerging make-up artists to launch their careers in the SA Fashion Industry.
