Designer Kahindo Mateene Launches Kickstarter Project to Help Women in DRC Congo

Official Kickstarter Project Launch!
I am very proud to announce that I have to launched my very first Kickstarter project! The campaign will raise funds to support my partnership with MamAfrica in making clutches from repurposed fabric from previous Modahnik collections.  I’m excited to partner with MamAfrica to help my countrywomen of the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to support themselves and their families through fair-trade employment in the production of these clutches.

We are trying to raise $20,000 to launch this line of clutches and help the women of my home country but we need your help!

You can back the project on Kickstarter here: http://bit.ly/1degyac

And learn more about MamAfrica here: http://mamafricadesigns.com/

With your help, we will be able to make this project a success! I am asking that you support this project by donating, spreading the word, sharing on social media — anything you can do to get the word out so that we can improve the lives of as many Congolese women as possible.

Thank you so much for your support,

Kahindo Mateene
