CHICK CHAT LIVE EPISODE 8- IS HE STINGY OR NAH

On this episode of Chick Chat Live, I ask my guests some life and career questions about how living within and outside of Nigeria has helped to shape or influence their person. We delve into societal expectations on marriage and how you know for sure if the path you’re on is the right one.

Our Chick Chat Hot Topic of the day is “Is he stingy or nah”? Here a lady is trying to decipher why her otherwise sweet and caring boyfriend of over a year plus has never bought her a gift.
Not a birthday, Valentine’s or Christmas gift. Is this a stingy character trait and a sign that he won’t be a ‘generous husband’ or do we place too much importance on “trivial exchanges”

CHICK CHAT LIVE EPISODE 7-MARKING YOUR TERRITORY WITH A CRAZY EX-WIFE
On the first segment of the show, my co-hosts (Tade Alalade, Sinmi Hughes-Obiesan, Bukky Karibi-Whyte) and I discuss popularity vs. influence. Our PR and Advertising executives share some tips on how to handle your own PR.

Our Chick Chat Hot Topic of the day is “Marking your territory with a crazy ex-wife”. The story deals with a woman who is battling whether to confront her boyfriend’s crazy ex-wife or leaving him to handle the situation. After several attempts to reach her ex-husband, a lady takes things to the extreme when she spots his new girlfriends’ children in his car coming home from school. She double-crosses the car and seizes the keys instructing the driver to tell his boss to call her. The confused driver was forced to take the young kids (6 & 8-year-olds) home on an Okada (local motorbike). The girlfriend was on her way to confront her when she is interrupted by her bestie’s words of “wisdom” to let the man handle it instead.

CHICK CHAT LIVE EPISODE 6- DEALING WITH “THE PROCESS”

On the first segment of the show, we talk emotions and grief. My guests (Aibee Abidoye, Frances Asemota and Adesua Etomi) share some of their emotional experiences.

This week we switched things up and instead of our Chick Chat hot topic, my guests and I share some life tips on dealing with ‘the process’. Our generation has become so outcome driven and attached to social media standards of success. We talk about trusting the timing of your life and finding balance as you go through `’the process.”

CHICK CHAT LIVE EPISODE 5- MY BROTHER-IN-LAW SLAPPED MY BUM! SHOULD I TELL MY HUSBAND?
On the first segment of the show, my guests (Sope Martins, Somkele Iyamah-Idhalama, Elaine Shobanjo) and I discuss Money Vs. Fulfilment.

Our Chick Chat Hot Topic of the day is “My Brother-In-Law Slapped My Bum, Should I Tell My Husband”
Here, a wife has to host her sleezy brother-in-law visiting from the US in her marital home. At the welcome party, her brother-in-law makes an inappropriate advance by smacking her bum in a drunken state. The wife is torn between telling her husband and causing bad blood amongst siblings or holding her tongue for the sake of peace. Would you tell? CHICK CHAT LIVE EPISODE 4- HELP! MY SISTER-IN-LAW IS A CHRONIC INTRUDER

In the first segment, my guests (Irene Syrimis, Tseshe Doyle-Egunjobi, Kaylah Oniwo) and I discuss whether they are “tensioned” or threatened by a partners “Office Wife”. We discuss the boundaries around such relationships and whether or not how you dress helps you mark your territory with your significant other.

Chick Chat Hot Topic: “It No Longer Takes A Village to Raise A Child”

Two friends are in a dispute over a reactionary slap a child received after a misdemeanor. A poorly behaved little boy punches his mother’s friend in the boobs at a mutual friends child’s birthday party. He is met with an unintentional backhand that led him to tears and riled up his mother. The mother of the boy fails to admonish her child instead she turns on the friend for putting hands on her child. How do you respond when a child has a parent present who does not respond in a way that you are comfortable with?

On the first segment of this episode, my co-hosts (Orode Uduaghan, Ezinne Alfa and Ini Dima-Okojie) and I review a listeners letter from one of my favorite podcasts, ‘Dear Sugar’.
The writer solicits the host’s opinion’s on whether he is doing the right thing by continuing in a year plus relationship with a girl he connects with deeply and ignoring what he feels to be totally invented standards of beauty or is physical chemistry the first and most important part of a real relationship. The ladies and I give our opinions on external and internal standards of beauty.
