Cannes Film Festival: Kenya Shows Strong Presence at Cannes

Kenya’s film industry has been racking up strong points at the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The country was invited for the first time to grace the event. Capitalizing on the invitation, it has made several important moves including the launch of  ‘Focus on Kenya’ interactive sessions at the festival linking investors, filmmakers and other industry professionals with Kenya’s film practitioners.

The country also signed a film agreement brokered between the Kenya Film Commission and National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa to help move Kenya and South Africa’s African story telling forward.
