Heni Audi Joburg Fashion Week Autunm Winter 2010 collection was refreshing and a departure from the norm. The collection was rich with luxurious rich fabrics -silk chiffons, charmuese, satins and velvets. We liked both his men and women’s collection but were most impressed with the men’s. There was a clear fusion of Italy, the Middle East, America and Africa all in one. Heni put a spin on Hijabs, traditionally worn by Muslim women, with his male models who wore Heni inspired Hijabs – a brilliant adrogynous move. To maintain the masculinity and keep it 100% testosterone, he added a little quirkiness with American flavored baseball hats as accesories. All in all, a very progressive collection.
