Ajak Deng, Aminata Niaria, Georgie Badiel for VOGUE Italia “The Black Allure” Editorial (Pictures)

This month’s issue of Vogue Italia titled “The Black Allure” is a clear declaration that the African model is not a trend, but will always be in.  The issue features Africa’s most talked about models like Ajak Deng, Aminata Niaria and Georgie Badiel, clearly proving they have impeccable beauty and talent just as the idolized Chanel Iman, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn and others.

“The Black Allure” is an extraordinary editorial in recognition of the Harlem Renaissance and was shot by Australian photographer Emma Summerton and styled by Ghanaian stylist, Edward Enningful.  Each image is breathtakingly beautiful and each piece selected, a classic.

Smoke clouds, stand-out jewelry, feathered hats, and finger wave hairstyles capture the 20’s exactly; and if only we could capture a pair of legs like one of these models-absolute satisfaction!

We are glad to see Vogue Italia continues to put both African and black models on a platform that shows the world they are needed in the fashion industry for years to come.
