“Johannesburg-born Alexander Kounty, began his studies with a major in philosophy. Then, after working at a large clothing factory, Koutny discovered his love for fashion and returned to school, to study pattern-making.
In the 1990s, he relocated to the UK where he assisted several designers before entering the MA program at Central Saint Martins in London. While here, he also produced detailed garments for small boutiques in London and Paris.
Alexander is now based in the capital of fashion, New York, and is working on his third commercial collection. He is also working on a creative collaboration project with British Vogue.”
