Swahili Fashion Week 2011: Charity Nyirongo (Pictures)

“Zambia’s Charity Nyirongo is a fashion designer and owner of Mo’Creations & Couture whose designs are feminine and express the African experience through the use of African prints and by painting African colors and art.

Having studied fashion in Tokyo, Japan at renowned Sugino Gakuen where she obtained her diplomas in fashion and at University of Namibia where she obtained a degree in fashion and textiles, she creates garments that are a celebration of the arts of the African cultures but with modern silhouettes and styles.

Charity has a passion to improve the quality of the fashion industry in Zambia and places a lot of emphasis on good finishes. She has a mentorship program for young designers and private classes for designers who want to improve their skills. She has showcased in Zambia Fashion Week 2011 and Miss Zambia 2007 as a student designer.”
