Can good looks buy you fame and money? What if it does but you discover you are deeply unhappy, what would you do? Iman Al Touijri, our Ladybrille Woman of the Month for January 2019, shares her story of having it all (fame, money, success) by relying on others to take care of her, her “massive spiritual awakening”, to self discovery, and living on purpose.
ABOUT IMAN AL TOUIJRI
Iman Al Touijri, of Arabian heritage, was born and raised in Madrid, Spain where she studied and obtained a degree in Social Sciences.
Iman later moved to Switzerland to work as a Fille Au Pair while studying French. In her early 20s, Iman trusted her intuition by taking a huge leap in moving to Australia. There, she studied and obtained a diploma at a local university.Soon after, Iman embarked upon a new career as a Cabin Crew member for Qatar Airways, an experience that helped her travel the world.
Wanting a change in careers, a few years after, Iman moved to Dubai for inspiration and a new challenge. Her creative spirit led her to form a fashion business with her designer friend Yara. The duo combined their creative flair and their Spanish and Arabic influences to create designs that were coveted across the globe including major fashion cities like London, Paris, New York, and Milan.As the business grew, Channel 4 UK noticed the success of their business and offered Iman a chance to showcase her business on the network’s reality tv show ‘Rich Kids of Instagram.’
Iman seized the opportunity, resulting in an exposure through the show in 20 countries and to millions of eyeballs. Iman leveraged the exposure to help boost her philanthropic causes, including helping under priviliged children in war torn countries like Lebanon. After Iman’s chapter in the Middle East, she had a “massive spiritual awakening” that redirected her approach to business, and compelled her to focus more on children and women’s humanitarian needs.
Iman is currrently a member of the commonwealth of England, and launches her beauty brand, Swiss beauty Clinic in Dubai, this January. Iman sees the future from a very positive perspective. She wants to become a source of motivation and inspiration for young women the world over and through her social media motto/tagline, “Iman knows best”.
