“The high delegation of the Nigeria music industry which includes a collecting society officials record label owners and publishers was received at the national assembly today to witness a motion to investigate the activities of the Nigerian copyright commission.
The delegation’s position is geared towards having a copyright collecting society industry that is free of monopoly. They are asking the comittee on justice and judiciary to conduct a joint investigation hearing on the activities of the NCC and also engage MCSN,COSON and other stake holders to address the issue of perceived monopoly in the collecting society business in the country. . . ”
