CINDERELLA FOUNDATION ROLLS OUT A PARISIAN STYLE RUNWAY FOR “FASHION WITH A PURPOSE” CHARITY FUNDRAISER IN D.C. – NOV. 14TH
Acclaimed Fashion Designers to Present World Class Collections featuring Amsale Aberra, Korto Momolu, Carol Hannah Whitfield, Jerell Scott and Reco Chapple Hosted by Marcus Johnson, Sunny Hostin (CNN) and Wisdom Martin (FOX 5 DC)
Washington, DC (October 11, 2010) – For the second consecutive year, the Cinderella Foundation will present its signature fundraiser, “Fashion With A Purpose”, on Sunday, November 14, 2010, 2PM-6PM, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC. This event will include a captivating performance by the Ailey Fordham BFA Dancers, a private VIP open bar jazz lounge reception with saxophonist Brian Lenair, a live and silent auction, a personal fashion consultation and an onsite shopping suite.
The feature designer list boasts an array of some of today’s most sought after, trendy and high-end fashion celebrity designers, including Amsale Aberra, a couture bridal and eveningwear designer; Korto Momolu, a finalist on Project Runway, wowed the fashion world with her signature line of exquisite apparel designs and hand-crafted accessories; Carol Hannah Whitfield, a finalist on Project Runway, launched her bridal line in Spring 2010; Jerell Scott, a finalist on Project Runway, brings a bold, fresh perspective to both his women’s and men’s fashion lines; and Reco Chapple, a standout on Bravo TV’s “The Fashion Show”, founder of Studio 423, and creative director for “The House of Chapple”.
“Over the past 8 years, I’ve witnessed how simple acts of kindness have transformed the lives of young girls in the DC community and women in Sierra Leone through the efforts of the Cinderella Foundation. This event is an opportunity to share this inspiration with a broader community who also share my passion for high fashion, fantastic hair and make-up and, of course, helping others,” stated Diane Cole Stevens, Founder of the Cinderella Foundation.
