“The Reach Higher initiative is the First Lady’s effort to inspire every student in America to take charge of their future by completing their education past high school, whether at a professional training program, a community college, or a four-year college or university”
To kick off her initiative, the First Lady hosted a fashion education workshop with fashion’s industry heavy weights as panelists and a group of 150 students from local high schools and colleges in the Washington DC area.
In attendance were Nigeria’s fashion design heads Duro Olowu and Amaka Osakwe of Maki Oh, and fashion stylist Edward Enninful.
