“FashionMist’s aim is to showcase on one platform emerging young designers of African origin who reflect the continent’s creativity and the use of African textiles in their products to infuse it with a modern western flair.
FashionMist will take place in two parts. During the day there will be an exhibition from 12 – 5pm
The highlight of the day will be our fashion catwalk event, where designers unveil their collection to a seated ticketed audience, interspersed with music
Labels confirmed for the catwalk include,Chemphe Bea,N’kya Designs, Ariike Alden, Adopted Culture, Yaa Ataa Bags, Duafe Denim, House of Adjeiwaa, GPUK, Kolture apparel and Harmattan by Ewuresi
This year, during the fashion showcase we will be aiding Miss Nana Afua Antwi (Befta Best female model and Top Model of colour winner – TMC) in launching her charity ‘Akosua Odei Foundation’. This charity is being set up to raise funds and help young women/mothers living harsh lives in rural Ghana/Africa. There will be a raffle on the night and all proceeds will go towards the ‘Akosua Odei Foundation’
