RedSTRAT, the holding group that owns The Future Awards, The Future Project, Y! and other brands, is currently working towards its biggest brand, The Future Awards 2011. Reputed to be the continent’s biggest youth awards, the 5th edition will hold next week on30 January 2011. Still, the team behind it, is about to take a day off from all that work.
“For us at The Future Awards, being a company formed on the strong belief that young people must be involved in the process of regenerating our country and injecting that belief into the youth culture, these elections are crucial for us,” said Kenneth Oliko, its spokesperson. “That is why we have decided – even a few days to our event – to set aside Friday, January 21 as a day for us all to register – because we think that is more important than anything else we’re doing.”
Therefore, all team members, volunteers, and other associates are encouraged to go out and register on Friday. “We want to go out in groups to make this more fun – and we want all our people to do this.” Oliko says, “Setting Fridays aside is symbolic of course, because many of our friends and associates have registered and some might not be able to do so on Friday, however, we are sending a message round about the fact that we have to do this, and we ask that people join our team members at least in Lagos and try and make this fun. We can also join hands and help the youth corps members make the registration process more efficient.”
If you want to join RedSTRAT team members on Friday to register in the locales mentioned below and help as we try to re-build our country, call Kenneth on 08022226712.
