On Saturday March 9th, 2013, what is being dubbed “Africa’s Oscars”, Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA), made its inaugural debut in Lagos, Nigeria at the Eko Hotel. The event boasted an exciting, live, one-hour red carpet pre-show showcasing the Crème de la Crème of Africa’s film and televiison industries; and later segued into an awards event that was screened live to more than 50 countries on the African continent.
