Nollywood Actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Makes ELLE’s list of ’50 African Women Who Shape the Continent’

Omotola Jalade EkeindeDimeji Alara, a fashion influencer and contributor to Elle South Africa’s digital and print publications, recently revealed some names of women who made the list of the magazine’s ’50 African Women Who Shape the Continent,’ in its August issue. Among them is Nollywood’s Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.

Jalade-Ekeinde is a multiple award winning Nigerian actress, singer, United Nations World Food Programme Ambassador, Amnesty International Activist, founder of Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme (OYEP) and Director.  She is the recipient of numerous awards and in 2013, Time Magazine recognized her as one of hundred most influential people in the world.

Also included in the list of are former women lawyers turned creatives: Nollywood filmmaker Mealdred Okwo, and fashion influencer Omoyemi Akerele.
