Omawumi, Idols West Africa Sensation Debuts Freshman Album

Omawumi Megbele is an emerging artist out of Nigeria. In 2007 she competed for Idols West Africa and stunned judges and the continent with her stage presence and strong vocals. While she did not win the competition, she came close! She was first runner up and many noticed includingrecord label giant Sony-BMG Africa who subsequently signed her. Fast-forward two years later, after many performances and a few hit singles, the sensational Omawumi releases her freshman album ‘Wonder Woman.’
