“Following hot on the trail of the Collaborative EP, The Professor and The Pugilist by Deckzavier and Enigma, Str8 Buttah Collective continues on its mission of Nigerian Hiphop domination.
First today with the release of Teck-Zilla’s motiongraphic Video (Directed by XYZ) and mp3 download of his stand-alone single “The Pledge”: A re-affirmation of his love of hiphop and the grind of a recording artist with success only one turn away. “The Pledge” also serves to mark a personal milestone of his XX Birthday and so instead of waiting for gifts, he’s instead taking the initiative to give back to the supporters of his movement and that of the whole Str8 Buttah Collective.
“Ask Me Too” Mister Rae’s warning shot to the rap game. Since his year long hiatus following the release of his solo debut “The Brand New Masquerade EP”. With production from Teck-Zilla and building on Omawunmi’s smash single “Ask Me” this song – a tip of what to expect from his upcoming mixtape “So, How far?”- is just the opening salvo in a stream of releases and collaborative projects he has planned for the second half of the year starting with his EP with Super-producer Bigfoot of MicWorx, The Big Rae.”
