Music: ‘Over You’ by Efa ft. Praiz (Audio)

“Rapper/ songwriter EFA has scored another one with the release of his latest song titled ‘Over You’. The song, which features the fast-rising R&B crooner Praiz, was produced by Bigfoot of Micworx, EFA’s long time collaborator. This time around though, the joint is void of controversy as its theme is love lost.
The rapper, who had, in the past, shown glimpses of his ability with his introductory project The Waka EP brings yet another one of his numerous sides to play on this track.

According to the multi-talented artiste, “with this song, I’m just trying to show that men actually do have a weaker side. Not to say we are the weaker sex or anything (lol). But seriously, we act like we have hearts of stone when, in the real sense, the majority of us are soft as butter. This song is about that person you will never stop loving even after you both go your different ways. It happens to the best of us.”

EFA recently put out E2DFA, his most personal song to date, on which he tackles issues that are close to his heart. Subjects include dumping a college degree to pursue a career in the arts, unity in diversity as Nigerians and tackling the President over the matter of the fuel subsidy.

Before that he appeared on MI’s Illegal Music II mixtape where he featured on the track ‘Star.’ With a debut album due out later in 2013, EFA released remixes from the summer of 2010 and an internet single EFA on 11-1-11 to introduce himself to the Nigerian market with a view to taking on the world in the next few years. In late 2011, his The Waka EP with producer Bigfoot was released to the public with rave reviews.”
