MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week Spring/Summer 2013: Ejiro Tafiri #LFDW

Designer Ejiro Tafiri continues to show growth in the construction of her garments. For Spring/Summer 2013, she played with silks and cottons in colorful prints. However, what was most interesting was the way she paired both fabrics and the styles she offered. Wrap blouses and dresses, for example, were included in her presentation. We also liked her pairing of ankara bottoms with silk tops. Also unexpected was a very Cinderella like wedding gown she showed, which she nailed to the “t” with a lace top and full tulle skirt.

Our favorite look, however, has to be her lavender off the shoulder knotted dress in silk charmeuse with an embellished bodice that evoked such elegance and sexiness. That is a winning look for the lucky woman who rocks it on one of Nigeria’s many red carpet events.
