I am so excited and proud as a African American Designer to know that the First Lady has selected a Nigerian Designer such as Duro Olowa.

Duro’s styles successfully combines African traditional colors, fabrics with contemporary Europeans fabric & designs. Duro has become my role model as Afrocentric fashion designer seeking to achieve Duro’s level of success! Olowa’s design styles are so appropriate for The First Lady, Ms.Obama, who represents Multicultural America on the world stage!
