Last month, Africa Fashion International (AFI) organized its yearly Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg (MBFWJ) at the Nelson Mandela Square in South Africa. This year’s MBFWJ was a three day event and featured some beautiful collections from some of the top designers in the country.
MBFWJ weaves the eccentricity of African heritage and history into contemporary notions of fashion, putting the focus firmly on local designers. From urban street fashion to chic ready-to-wear items and avant-garde designs, audiences expect a good dose of beyond-trend fashion and one of the best fashion productions of 2016.
